I am so excited!

I will admit, this is going to be my third trip to the islands, but my excitement level has been the same each and every time. With Kauai and Kona off my list, the next island to venture to is Maui.

There are canyons to explore, beaches to comb, reefs to snorkel, maybe even waves to learn to surf..
Even more exiting is the fact that the bf is coming along to share in the adventure this time. 4 days of him all to myself? That is exciting enough in itself :D

I have decided - Maui, HI. March 1 - 6, 2009

I have heard that this island is nicer than Kauai, and, aside from the vast quantities of free roaming chickens/roosters, I absolutely fell in love with that island. The hiking was exciting, the beaches were more than wonderful, the food was worth coming back for, but I want something new this time. Depending on flights, it is between Maui and Kona but I would prefer Maui. The big island really isn't calling to me, but I *guess* if I *had* to... hehe
Flights are wide open as of now, so I am going to keep my fingers crossed! Let the planning begin! :)

San Diego Here We Come!

I am so excited! Finally, after wanting to go for AgES!! I am finally getting to head back down to San Diego to spend a day in the sun, to lounge on the beach and to have some of the infamous sushi I have been telling people about for years!
After all this time, it will be interesting to see if I will still be able to find the place (being that I do not know the name of it).. but luckily for me I still have directions saved on my computer :D

We will be heading down 9/15!

Today Portland, Tomorrow Idaho Falls

Everything is finally set. Flights are looking *okay*, rental car is grudgingly booked (I'm sorry, but $128 for the two day rental is more than excessive), Charlotte has a home to go to (Thanks Laura!!), bags are packed and everything is ready.
The weather is supposed to be a mild 98 degrees and sunny for the next two days...
And after looking at the map I saw that we will be driving past the Great Salt Lake! Let me tell you, this is more than exciting to me! Now, after looking at the satellite map of it, the water looks less than desirable for even dipping my toe in but hopefully I will get to experience what it is like to swim in it...

We go from here to Seattle, from Seattle to Bozeman, from Bozeman to Idaho Falls since for some reason the more direct flights are oversold. I'm crossing my fingers, because from the looks of it we may end up spending the day in Seattle! Ha!

Tomorrow I will be heading down to the sunny state of California and you will be able to find me laying on the beach and walking the promenade with my little boy in hand (he's still at that age that he doesnt mind holding my hand lol).
I cannot wait. Oh let me tell you! Excitement is oozing from the seams! hehe

Summer Session Woes by the Wayside

So last week I wrote out a long and detailed appeal letter to the board of financial aide up in Pullman about my financial situation in regards to the summer session and after a couple days of waiting I finally got my reply.
I must say that I was quite scared to open the email but after I did, and after scanning it rapidly because of course I couldn’t take the time to read it word for word at that moment I found out that they are going to give me an institutional grant for the term
Ya ya ya
And my methods teacher made me think twice about my writing ability… damn him. Damn him I say! Ha ha ha

Now that that obstacle is out of my way, summer vacation planning is in the works. Currently I have two trips planned out for certain:
Los Angeles, CA July 29th (that’s right, it is a day trip)
Boston, MA August 7th thru the 11th

The chain is being taken off of my ankle and let me tell you, I am going to run away as fast as I can, and for as long as I can before I have to put the think back on again! August 25th……………..
